The keypad is the best way to control the mp3 player while driving. In a very short time you will be able to use the keypad without taking your eyes off the road. In addition it lets you control most every feature of Winamp, including new features, which the custom software adds, like jumping directly to any song. Being able to jump between songs is extremely useful when you are dealing with large play lists and want to get to one particular track. With a home or car CD changer it would be nice to be able to go directly to any song at any time, but you cannot. This function is a leap beyond all current methods of controlling car and home audio devices. Ever try going to track 4371 using the "next track" button? Below are the keypads functions taken directly from my plans:

Keypad: 1 = jump 10 tracks back 2 = volume down 3 = jump 10 tracks forward 4 = previous song 5 = play 6 = next song 7 = rewind 8 = volume up 9 = fast forward 0 = pause / = toggle shuffle on/off * = stop
To jump directly to a particular track you would press + <the number song you want> + i.e. to jump to song 421 on your play list, you would type +421+ , then Winamp to go directly to that song and start playing.
